Hello, I am Dan and my background is seamless guttering and gutter protection
products. I owned a small three-truck gutter company for 27 years and have been
doing gutter protection products for five years.
This ladder stand off (which I named the “Spider” because it reminds
me of a daddy longlegger spider) solves several problems in our business. For instance,
the danger of ladder kick out is eliminated. Tearing existing guttering off and
dropping it straight down to the ground works well, and it much easier. You don’t
have to climb up and down and move you ladders often when installing new gutters.
Carrying roofing shingles and then having to go around the top of the extension
ladder is awkward and dangerous. With the “Spider” you can just go up
and over easily and not worry about ladder kick out or damaging the roof, metal
edging or guttering; while having a handle to grab.
The “Spider” will solve many problems for anybody that has to be
on a roof or deal with house projects like: painting, siding, soffit, fascia, windows,
chimneys, electrical, plumbing, etc. The "Spider" has been working very
well; we have used it for the last 2 years in the field. Our installers absolutely
love it and would not go out on a job without one.
